Conductor Bio:

Molly May is a cantorial student at the Academy for Jewish Religion. She teaches music and Hebrew at multiple congregations, and she does music transcribing and arranging for a variety of Jewish clergy and songleaders. She received the Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Michigan and the Master of Music degree from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, both in music education. She served as cantorial soloist, choir director, and religious educator at Rodef Shalom Congregation in Pittsburgh for 10 years. She has arranged and composed music for every type of group, ranging from elementary school ensembles to barbershop quartets, as well as symphony orchestras. Molly taught public school orchestra for several years before venturing into the Jewish professional world. She directed HaZamir Pittsburgh for 6 years. Having relocated to North Carolina recently with her husband and three sons, she is excited to bring the magic of HaZamir to the North Carolina Research Triangle area.

HaZaPrep Raleigh-Durham, for 6th-8th graders, also conducted by Molly May, rehearses at Temple Beth Or from 4pm-5pm.
