Conductor Bio:
Joshua Gonzalez has been immersed in the HaZamir and ZCF community since 2012 starting as a young 8th grader in HaZamir. Not only a HaZamir alum; Josh also sang with the HaZamir Chamber Choir and was a Teen Leader, TL Intl. Co-Chair (2016-2017). He was the conductor of HaZamir Long Island from 2018 to 2020 and has been the conductor of HaZamir MetroWest NJ since 2020. Studying conducting with Mati Lazar since he was 16, Josh knows the importance of Jewish choral music and has made it his life’s work. He studied music at Rutgers University and toured at home and abroad with the Rutgers University Glee Club and Rutgers University Kirkpatrick Choir. Josh is excited to make music with the next generation of HaZamirniks and see this amazing organization grow into the future.
