Lisa Itkin is the Choral Director at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. She has been teaching high school music for the past 33 years. Ms. Itkin received her BA in Music from Binghamton University and her MEd in Music Education from Penn State. She has performed extensively throughout her career.  While studying at Penn State, Ms. Itkin won the Concerto Competition, and sang with the Penn State Philharmonic and the Nittany Valley Symphony as a soloist. She has performed in and directed dozens of musicals in schools, community groups, and professional theaters in the DC Metro Area. Her choirs have received superior ratings at district, state, and regional festivals and competitions. Ms. Itkin’s Chamber Singers have sung at the White House, the Maryland State House, and the Kennedy Center. In 2025 the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School music department was awarded Most Distinguished Music Department in the State of Maryland.
