Dor Kaminka, an alum of HaZamir HaSharon, is an Israeli-American composer, arranger, conductor, producer and vocalist. His work has been performed by many, including the Israel Symphony Orchestra, and his recent score for Mom is Visiting placed in international film festivals.
Dor grew up both in the USA and in Israel, serving as a volunteer in the IDF military bands as a performer, music director and commander. After his military service, he worked and performed in various productions in Israel (including The Cameri Theatre of Tel Aviv, Raanana Symphonette Orchestra and backing vocals for many artists), toured internationally as a cast member and dance captain in The Voca People and recorded for many sessions, including dubbing in Hebrew for films such as The Lion King (2019), Frozen 2, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and others.
During this time Dor became resident musical director and arranger for The Voca People under Shai Fishman, and conductor for Zamir Choral Foundation under Maestro Matthew Lazar, while he continued casting, training and accompanying military bands in reserve duty.
Dor received a prestigious scholarship to attend Maestro Yaron Gottfried's Composition, Arrangement & Conducting program at Rimon School of Music, where he also directed Rimon's commercial ensembles and worked with the Israeli NK Orchestra. He then followed another generous scholarship offer to study Film & Media Scoring at Berklee College of Music, where he recorded orchestral sessions on a weekly basis and received several awards for his work during his studies.
Dor's work has been featured on many stages, TV, radio and other platforms worldwide, and has been viewed and heard by millions.
