Conductor Bio:

Cantor Tanya Greenblatt is a native of Amherst, Massachusetts, and a graduate of Brandeis University, and Hebrew Union College — Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC). She studied at both the Jerusalem and New York campuses of HUC, earned a Master of Sacred Music Degree from the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music, and Ordination as a Cantor in May, 2003. At HUC Cantor Greenblatt earned numerous awards, and since her ordination, she has been active in the American Conference of Cantors.  She has previously served congregations in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, and Florida, including serving at Temple Israel in Tallahassee from 2004-2011. Cantor Greenblatt’s primary goal as a Cantor is to be an integral part of the congregation and participate in all aspects of congregational life, using both her music and personal relationships to create and share moments of holiness.  Cantor Greenblatt lives in Tampa with her husband, Scott, and their sons, Joshua, Michael, and Theodore, and their dog, Virgil.
